A Realistic 20-Minute Revision Routine At Home
Revision does not have to be long. For most students, 20 focused minutes are better than one distracted hour.
Use the first five minutes to review notes or examples from class. Your child only needs to identify one main concept, not reread every topic at once.
Use the next ten minutes for practice. Pick questions that match your child's level. If they are too hard, your child may give up. If they are too easy, there is little growth. Two to five quality questions are enough.
Use the final five minutes for checking. Ask your child to explain how they got the answer. This matters because parents can see whether the child understands or is only guessing.
This small routine is easier to maintain when it happens at the same time every day. Consistency builds habits, and good habits create long-term progress.
